What information may be processed?
To deliver web pages, the web server and its hosting environment may process technical information such as IP address, requested page, time and browser details. If you email us, we process the contact details and message you choose to send.
- The site has no accounts and does not ask for your name or email address to use the hearing check or audiogram tool.
- Text size and contrast may be saved locally on your device when you change reading settings.
Audiograms and hearing check
Audiogram images and PDFs are opened in your browser. Automatic reading, suggested values and your edits are processed there and are not sent to MRC's server. Hearing check answers are also processed in the browser. This information disappears when you leave or reload the page. Do not send audiograms or other sensitive health information to us through ordinary email.
Speech in noise
The speech in noise exercise downloads prepared sound files from this site. Digit groups, your answers, sound levels and results are handled only in browser memory. They are not sent to MRC, ElevenLabs or Webbstatistik and are not saved in cookies or local storage. The session is cleared when you leave the page or start over. Webbstatistik records the page view and its URL only, without test results.
Purpose and legal basis
Technical information is used to deliver the site, troubleshoot and secure its operation. Visitor statistics help us understand how pages are used and improve the site. Contact details are used to answer questions and handle corrections. We normally rely on legitimate interests for this processing. A legal obligation may be the basis for retaining information if the law requires it.
Visitor statistics
We use Webbstatistik, a service from MRC Collective AB, to measure page views. A script from webbstatistik.se loads on the pages and sends the full page URL, referring page and time to the service. The IP address and technical browser information may be processed when the request is made. Webbstatistik does not receive the audiogram file, extracted values or your hearing check answers. Avoid putting sensitive information in the page address or query parameters because the full page URL is included in the page view event.
Hosting, recipients and external links
The site runs on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The hosting provider may process technical information needed to deliver and secure it. Webbstatistik is operated by MRC Collective AB with its hosting providers. We do not use ad measurement or an email service for the audiogram flow. Links to Skickamejl, manufacturers and other sites open their own services; their policies apply when you visit them.
Retention and security
Audiograms and answers are not stored on the server. Reading settings remain on your device until you reset them or clear site data. Any technical operation and security logs are kept only as long as needed for troubleshooting, security and legal requirements. Traffic to the site is protected with HTTPS.
Your rights
Email info@mrccollective.se to ask about personal data we process and to request access, correction, erasure, restriction or object where the law grants those rights. You may complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY). Because audiograms are not sent to us, we cannot retrieve or delete a file that only exists in your browser.
Automatic reading
The audiogram tool suggests values automatically but requires your review. It makes no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects and gives no diagnosis or individual device recommendation.
Accessibility
The site supports keyboard use, visible focus, responsive layout, larger text, high contrast and browser speech where available. The sound exercise has a text alternative and can be skipped. We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA, but a full accessibility audit remains outstanding. Contact us if something prevents you from using the site.
Changes
We update this policy when features or data processing change. The latest version is published on this page.
